I'm respectfully asking for some information from the factory. I purchased a new R-31 CB in August from Winter Island Yacht Yard in Salem MA. My hull number is: FMLT31111H021. I recently purchase a brass commissioning plate and before I get it engraved, can you tell me at what factory my boat was built at. Also, what is the maximum loading of people (at rest at the dock) as well as the maximum number of people when underway. Thank you!

Hey there Rich!

Hope all is well. Your boat was built at our Monroe location. We dont actually post capacities when the boats stay in the US but, it is usually based on the number of seats. So, on the 31, I would say right around 11 people is what it would calculate out at.

Hello Andrew,

Yes, all is well thank you. Getting ready to bring down JACKPOT II from Salem MA to my homeport in Stamford CT. If only the weather would cooperate! It was a pleasure to meet you at the NorthEastern Boat Show in Boston this past February. I so appreciate you getting back to me with that information. The fantastic support from the factory like you have just shown is one of the reasons why I bought a new Ranger over similar tug competitors and why I continue to wholeheartedly recommend Ranger Tugs to fellow boaters looking for a great cruising boat! Ranger Tugs are my extended family!

I didn't think any class II boat would have a capacity plate. I thought the USCG formula was used in that case. It was something like length x width divide by 15. My information could be out of date though.

About five years ago we had a post rendezvous cocktail gathering on an R-31 at Cayo Costa near Punta Gorda. We had 31 people on the boat! The swim step was awash.
