Hi
We just were at the NYC boat show and fell in love with the RC21 tug. Does anyone know of a dealer or person that would take us out on A Ranger Tug to see if we like it? I get really sick on certain boats- so before we invest I'd like to get out in one and see if I turn green!
Would love any feed back! We are located on the boarder of north/South Carolina. But have family up north.
Thanks

Good luck. After taking many individuals out on many types of boats, there are some who are prone to motion sickness and some who are not. I'm afraid that anything less than an ocean liner will make you sick if you are prone. My wife, who is not prone to motion sickness got a terrible case of vertigo while on our 21 in some rough weather. I never get motion sick if I'm at the controls and looking up and out. You can always try medications but their efficacy varies from person to person. I can get motion sick if I have to go back and fix a boat engine in almost any kind of wave action because I'm looking down and that confuses the eye and balance mechanisms in the body. Other's have no problem with that. The 21's are nice riding, but nice riding means little of you are prone to motion sickness. Do take a ride, and ask the captain to let you take the wheel for a while. If you don't feel motion sickness, then you are probably good to go on about any boat if you are in charge. Schedule a day when there are some pretty good swells. Chop doesn't bother the little 21's all that much. good luck. I don't think you'll find anything any better or worse with the 21's than with any other boat in the class relative to motion and its affect on your motion sensitivity.

If you want to do a day trip to GA, I'd be pleased to let you see and take a short ride on my 2014 R21EC. I given several folks a chance to experience these tugs since 2009, having owned three of them.

I'm located on Lake Lanier in Flowery Branch, GA. We're about 50 miles NorthNorthEast from Atlanta, just off I85 a few miles.

I'm currently offering it for sale. But, you don't have to feel obligated if you just want to look and ride. :| 😎 It needs some exercise. And, I need to get out on the water.

Let me know your intention. Our daughter will be visiting from Germany on Feb. 16 thru Feb. 25; so my time might be more restricted during that period. However, she and her Mother will likely do a few things, giving me a few free hours here and there. I'm retired, so time is flexible.

My hearing is not too good, so email is best. gsublett@bellsouth.net Less complicated messages can be done via: 770-967-8041.
