Just had our new (3 months new) C-24 pulled to add name and check bottom paint. No zincs or mounting holes on the trim tabs and no zinc on bow thruster. All my previous boats have had these. Does Cutwater not find the need for these sacrificial anodes? Would this be something the dealer would install before delivery? Thx

Just read that no anodes needed with the new type Lewmar composite thruster. That explains why I couldn’t find one!

What about the trim tabs? I have a 2020 C24 and don't have them on there either.

We have R23 and I checked with the factory and Boatzinc if anodes are necessary on our Lenco trim tabs? They all agreed they are needed since our boat sits in salt water 7 months of the year. My trim tabs measure 12" x 16" and both Lenco / BoatZinc recommended R3 (3 3/4")in diameter. I went with zinc anodes after a few emails with Boatzinc. Lenco emailed me a PDF that shows the location to install the anode basicaly dead center between the lower mounting bracket and the hinge. If you don’t have the room outboard side of the tab away from the motor.

DillyDally,
Could you please share the pdf depiction of the recommended zinc/anode placement for the trim tabs?
Thanks!
Annie
