C-28 dingy davits

Hi,

Has anyone tried the Forespar davits for their dingy? In particular I am interested in the idea for my C-28. Perhaps other manufacturers have something as well. Here's what the Forespar looks like: https://www.fisheriessupply.com/forespa ... vit/153302

I developed some wicked tendinitis muscling my dingy on and off the swim step last year. Something like this could make things easier. Not sure how to mount these on a C-28 so hoping to benefit from someone's experience.

In researching this online I found Kato Marine. According to their website a couple of Ranger Tugs have used these hanging davits. One was a Ranger 27, the other a 29.

The Kato product might be right for me. Anyone have a picture of the Kato install in their Album?

Hi Martin,

I just sent you a private TN message. We had installed St. Croix davits with the optional Platforms on our 2019 C-28. Easy to install. We did have to remove them since it made the boat too long for our condo boat slip.

We were going to use them for our 9' Dyer Dhow sailing dink. Keep in mind that these swim platforms drag in the water when the boat is up on plane and more weight back there will cause more.

We have just purchased a 31CB with Kato Island Model Davits and are planning on removing them as we want to stow our hard sided dinghy verticle.

I will send you a DM to see if you are interested in these as they may fit your need and are nearly new.
