I am almost ashamed to admit this, but here I go. When using the inverter, everything would work except the microwave. It would turn on, but as soon as I tried to heat anything, it would trip the breaker on the inverter. Yesterday, I was looking at the electrical panel and it hit me. I had been leaving the battery charger on. As soon as I turned it off, I could use the microwave. Duh. Some boats are wired so that you can't charge the batteries from the inverter. Ours is not. So I have placed a sticky note next to the remote for the inverter to remind me. Hope this helps the other few people like me who complained about not being able to use the microwave.
