Firstly Congrats to Cutwater for the new boat release!

Some initial observations:

Interesting - no more 8'6" beamed boat in the 28 foot range. - the C288 is a 10 foot beamed boat.

it's also interesting its not a lithium by default boat with AGM batteries as an option on the Northwest edition. you only get lithium if you opt for Luxury. I can see people wanting lithium on the northwest edition.

they switched the internal seating around so the galley is on the helm side with a single pilot seat therefore. I wonder if this is a weight distribution solution?

The R-27 fills this niche. They are about the same LOA (I think the R27 might even be longer).

I don't really understand how the size numbering works; in sailboats it's always by LOA, sometimes rounding up a few inches (e.g., my Catalina 36 was 35.6' LOA) but powerboats it's sort of a made up number?

I think the 288 is the water line length. So you have to remove those pesky things called outboards and swim platform 😀

I’m not fond of towing a 10 wide foot boat, but I can do it if needed. What I am worried about is if my 2019 RAM 1500 will tow it. I really don’t want to have to buy a new truck along with a new boat.

True. that is an option for the trailer crowd.
