I am in the process of rebuilding and modifying a Continental A2485-8500 trailer to fit my 2022 Cutwater 24. I have put on new brakes, bearings, wiring, etc to ensure I have confidence in the basic trailer components.
I am now focused replacing and repositioning the bunks for the C24 and hoping someone with an empty C24 trailer can verify a few measurements for me.
Rear bunks - Width placement - I'm assuming this should be anywhere between 58 - 80" (inside to inside of bunks)
Rear bunks Length - with the stepped hull, I am planning on making these 76" long and overhanging the end beam of the trailer by an inch or two. These bunks are 4"x8"s.
Front bunks - I will be creating these from scratch. Assuming I can use 2x6's but would be interested in getting your measurements (length, width and height). Looking at the stepped hull diagram, I'm assuming they will be 20-29" apart (inside to inside).
Can some take these measurements from your C24 trailer?

I can help, my rear bunks are 46 inches in between, 80 inches long and are made out of 3X8s. they stand up 3 inches against the boat.
front bunks are 60 long and at the rear they are 25 between, front are 21 1/2 inches between. They are made out of 3X6s and lay flat 6 inches toward boat bottom. 38 inches between rear and front bunks.

Great, this is perfect! I will work on adjusting the bunks tomorrow and come back with any questions,

Things are progressing nicely but have 1 more crucial measurement before I try and take the boat out of the water this weekend and that is the height of the rear bunks. Can you provide a measurement from the top of the rear bunk to the cross members of the trailer (I assume this will be the same front and back of the bunks)? On my trailer the cross member drop an in or two in the center so I probably need that measurement as well.

On my trailer which has three dropped cross members my rear bunks sit on the two rear cross members. The bunks are 8 inches tall. Email me if you would like a photo.

But that could also depend on your fender height. My boat with the bunk placement sits about 1 inch above the fenders.
