Hi all, new C26 owner, and it's winter so I don't get to use her for a bit. 🙁 BUT, it's a great opportunity to really get to know the boat, so that's what we're doing.

When I went out to do my survey last month we could not for the life of us figure out how to get the lights along the side of the hull to illuminate, as well as the lights on the stern (could get part of the stern to light, but not the others). See pics!
Is there a trick to getting these lights on??? It's driving me crazy.

THANK YOU!!!
Ken

The lights are trailering lights. There is a harness in the anchor locker that plugs into the trailer. Side lights are amber, and aft are red and I think white for back up.

No kidding!? I would have never guessed that in a million years.
So they're simply there to, I assume, make the boat comply with regulations whilst being trailered?
They'd be kind of cool at anchor, but I guess that's not happening.
Thank you for the info! I'll look forward to pulling the harness out next time I pull her.

Your trailer needs to be wired with an extra plug to tie into the trailers wiring so you can plug the boats wiring into that. The trailering lights on the boat are in addition to the lights on the trailer.

The ones on the stern are also brake lights, directional lights and reverse lights. I had a few truckers tell me they loved it.
