C28 bilge wash

Hi all,

While using the boat sometimes I use raw seawater to wash deck floor (which by the way gets extremely hot with the sun), seats or any minor fish blood. If drains underneath are not 100% clear, part of that seawater goes to the bilge, engine, etc.

Do you guys wash your bilge frequently with fresh water?. Is there anything that can't be rinsed?.

I appreciate you comments or recommendations.

I often wash down the bilge with fresh water. Keep away from electrical harnesses and the alternator. I use a light stream to avoid spray going where I do not want it. I will reach down and spray under the engine to clear anything out that may be in the bilge under the engine.
