C28 with Portland Pudgy?

Does anyone have a C28 with a Portland Pudgy dinghy mounted on davits off the swim platform? Do you find it is too heavy when cruising with the C28? I'm wondering how the extra weight when compared to a inflatable effects the C28 performance.

I had this long debate with myself. I ended up going inflatable.

the cut28 is sensitive to trim - even with people moving about. so I didnt want a ton of weight on the stern. as it really effects performance

plus the portland pudgy is heavy to make lifting it up more challenging.

there are tugs with the portland - Ive not seen a cutwater though.

I mounted a Honda 9.9 kicker on the swim platform of my 28CW. Still happy with the performance.

Really like the secure feeling of an auxiliary motor to get me out of potencial trouble!
