C28 Zincs

I have a 2016 C28 and I can't find the zinc that is supposed to be in the intercooler cover on the rear port side of the engine. Volvo D4. Every image I have searched shows the plug on the bottom of the cover. Mine doesn't have it. Is it somewhere else in the system? HELP!

It is my understanding that certain year D4s don't have engine zincs. My 2015 C28 does. Maybe you got lucky.

The manual I have indicates two engine zincs. I replaced the forward heat exchanger anode which was completely disintegrated and just want to make sure I am not missing the second one if indeed there is one.

If you could send me your engine serial number I can check for you if there is only one or if there is supposed to be two. Like above Volvo did stop using zincs right around '14-'15. My email is kevinlamont@rangertugs.com.
