c30 bathroom outlet flashes

Today my wife's hair dryer didn't work in the bathroom of my 2018 c30 running on gen. It has for past 3 days. The ac outlet has a small red led flashing. The led is not flashing on any other outlet in the boat. The hair dryer works in all other outlets. I've reset all GFI buttons, generator circuit breaker, restarted generator, reset on off all ac panel 120v switches.
Any suggestions on besides getting rid of my wife's hair dryer or her?

A quick simple assessment of what has failed.

(1)Reset the GFI in the head. Plug a different electrical devise into the head outlet. Generator running. Does the GFI trip?
(2)Plug the hair drier into another outlet in the boat. Does the GFI trip?

If the answer is yes (1) Bad GFI replace the outlet. No (1) possibly a bad hair drier
Answer is yes (2) Bad hair drier. No (2) bad GFI in head replace the GFI.


There could be other reasons for this failure, bad or loose connections at the outlet, AC panel, ground terminal strip, or neutral. I have found many loose connections while doing electrical inspections on my C26. It happens. Check the basics first. Rule out the outlet and the hair drier first.

Sounds like you have answered most of Brian's questions above besides if you have tried any other devices in the outlet you are having issues with but sounds like you are ONLY getting a red flashing light and no green light unlike all other GFI outlets. I would remove the outlet in the bathroom and take a look at the connections and overall condition of the outlet, it is quite possible something came loose on the backside or it has failed as it lives its life in a dampish area if you use the shower. Hope this helps.

Fixed, not broken....
I had to use a screwdriver to push in the reset button for the switch. I apparently didn't push it far enough in with my finger to reset it. It had to be pressed in about 1/4 inch. Much further than my house ones.
