C30 CB Cockpit Bimini

Cutwater 30CB - We are adding a bimini over the cockpit using the existing zipper track in the extended hardtop. Goal is shading the aft seat. Has anyone put support poles on the swim platform safety rails? The top would unzip and the bows would fold back to these poles in a boot much like the fly bridge bimini. What are the cons?
 
Redesign
The vertical support poles will be attached in the aft corners of the cockpit on the handholds. No weight added to the swim platform. Thanks for reading. Got no comments.

Where did you get the Bimini? CW seems to sell only a Bimini and boot combo, not just the Bimini.
