Has anyone removed the plywood floor on a ranger 25? It looks like it could be velcroed down. it would be a lot easier to sand down and refinish at home or on the dock on a good weather day.

Ours is glued down. Taking it out would probably destroy it. I think it’s a veneer so sanding in place might not work either.
If you could get it out in one or two pieces it might make a good template for cutting a new one from new stock.

I removed all the flooring in the forward berth area. I used a heat gun to heat the flooring. You must use some discretion when doing this (don't burn it) The heat will help loosen the all purpose contact glue. I used a scraper blade to drive between the wood flooring and the fiberglass sole. working from the edges all the way around I was able to slowly lift the wood. It took me about an hour to pull the floor without damaging it.

floor removed no wood left on sole just glue, heat and patience it will come up with out damaging the wood.

I removed mine and replaced with a completely different style vinyl. Not a job for the faint of heart.

Tried to post picture, but access to album sees to not be working at this time.
