We're having some issues with the cabin striping on one side of the boat (the side that faces the sun when at the dock.). Prior posts seem to indicate that this was gelcoat, at least for the brown stripe on some RTs, but based on the blistering on ours, it looks more like a sticker. We've got a 2020 C28. Does anyone know what was used on our boat, and how to repair/maintain it to avoid this? I've posted an image below of it. Thanks in advance.

The two stripes on my 2018 C24 did the same thing on the port side which was always in the sun. I was going to just replace the bad areas with the same color but decided to change the color completely to a Vibrant Blue. I had a local person that worked where I keep my boat remove and replace all the stripes and he did an excellent job and now the boat looks better and stands out. If it was just the cabin stripe I would have done it myself. Ask RT what they use or go online and you can probably find what you need.

Be careful, you can get seriously fleeced for any kind of decal/stripe removal. I recently had to deal with my boot stripe and had a horrible time finding someone and then the quote I did get was completely ridiculous. I bought the striping ($35), a heat gun off amazon ($40), watched 2 YouTube videos (15 min), and acetone ($6). Took me less than an hour, and looks great.
One thing I learned, do not use acetone, use “Rapid Remover Vinyl Letter Remover 32 oz. Bottle with Sprayer Adhesive Remover for Vinyl Wraps Graphics Decals Stripes” ($35 Amazon). This stuff works miracles, and WILL save you a lot of time removing the left over adhesive after you have removed the sticker/stripe.

Thanks both of you for the input. This may be a good project for the fall once it cools down. I wonder if there is any way to prevent the blistering, and/or if some products are better than others in terms of sun/UV resistance?
