Last year, during the Palm Island, FL rendezvous, there was interest among women owners in attendance to have a Facebook group created for women Ranger Tug owners. So, I am introducing this members only group on Facebook to the TugNuts Forum hoping to create awareness of the group.

Ranger Tugettes
https://www.facebook.com/groups/RangerTugetts/

Members share information about problem solving on our boats, creative upgrades to interiors and exteriors, decor ideas, cruising destinations and more often than not, just fun stuff about our boats (recipes that work in small spaces, small get-togethers and boating humor) or just anything about boating in general. Many seek advice from members who have similar boats. All this accomplished in a format most of us are familiar with already and easily using.

We are just a small group now, but I would like to get the word out to other women, Ranger Tug, owners to join our group. In addition, if you are a captain, husband, partner or friend of one, please ask her to check out the link to our group (above).

Only requirement to join this group is that you have a Facebook account and are an owner of a Ranger Tug. If you are interested in joining just email Lisa Favors at...
kismet@favorsweb.com.

Please include:
• A short note saying that you are indeed a Ranger Tug owner
• Model of Ranger Tug
• Name of your tug
• Your email address
• Homeport (City, State)

You can also send a request from the Ranger Tugettes group page, just make sure to include a message with the above information.

I don't have any tugs to nominate but yesterday a (roughly) 30 foot sport fisher with twin outboards cruised through the basin here at Palm Island.
It had a lady at the helm and the name on the transom was Sea Cup .

Then today Lisa makes a post - curiouser and curiouser

Hi Denny, the real question is... did you pass the info in the post on to Char?

Are you forming a group for women who single hand a Ranger Tug, or....?

Ranger Tugettes is an informal Facebook group for Women Ranger Tug owners. Members may single hand or have a co-owner. Send a request to join and give it a whirl.

Only requirement to join this group is that you have a Facebook account and are an owner of a Ranger Tug. If you are interested in joining just email me at...

Ranger Tugettes Facebook group has increased its membership by 35%. That's really only six new members, but we'll take it. I know there are more women Ranger Tug owners who would enjoy our group. If you know one, please pass this info on. Thanks!

Hello, everyone. A forum to discuss all these topics is an excellent idea. Is there some reason why these topics can't be added to Tugnuts so that we can include everyone's ideas, not just those of the female sex? Or, if the difficulty of communicating on Tugnuts is an issue, why not make the Facebook page open to all, not excluding anyone?

Louise

Louise, I can appreciate what you are saying and there actually is a Tugnuts Facebook group (The TugNuts) open to all. Ranger Tugettes is in no way shape or form meant to replace or compete with all the valuable information available in the Tugnut Forum. Ranger Tugettes group was started by a small group of women after a rendezvous in Florida, it was meant to be an informal group of women who own Ranger Tugs, women who want to communicate with other women tug owners. It is what it is right or wrong.
