Was on the water this weekend and all was fine. During lunch, I was playing with the Chartplotter and Radar. I was going back and forth between several screens. Nav, Radar, Sonar, etc.
When it was time to leave, I wanted to get back to my regular Nav plotter screen and when I clicked the Nav screen icon, the radar overlay stayed on. I tried several things, including shutting off both plotters. I also shut off the power to them to “reboot” the system and I still have Radar Overlay that I can’t get seem to get rid of.
Did I possibly click on something that created a default? I couldn’t find anything to change that if I did.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Rocky.

From the menu tab did you put the radar on stand-by?
When all else fails I would call Garmin support while you are on the boat. They will hopefully be able to walk you through the fix.

I can put the radar in STBY from the screen...I can also toggle to transmit. All of this is after I have tried to put into in NAV.
I am planning to be at the boat one day this week and will try to figure it out or call Garmin.....

Thanks
Rocky

On the 7612, you can turn on layers and one of these layers from a nav screen is the radar overlay. Go into the menu, select layers and turn that off.

Thanks Rocky,

That maybe what I did..... I'll try that first.
Thanks, Andrew!

Thank you for the tip, Andrew. That was it. Apparently I clicked the Radar Layer at some point..... I went to the layer screen, clicked off the Radar and all is good now.

Thanks

Rocky
