Canvas Option R27

The Ranger Tug website has a list oh Options available on the R27OB that includes a Canvas Option described as "Cockpit Sun Shade w/ Sunset Shade. The cost for this option is $1,499. Is the cockpit canvas standard on this model? Is the $1,499 for an expanded canvas ? What is the "Sunset Shade"?

Hello Larry,

The bimini top is standard. The sunshade would extend past the bimini for additional shade. Also the sunshade is made out of a mesh material which is different from the normal sunbrella bimini top.

Are there any pictures showing the differences. When I bought my 27OB there were no pics available and RT's web page, and my dealers description, left a LOT to be desired.

Hi Larry,

The canvas option includes a mesh sunshade, which extends out past the standard Bimini, as well as the mesh sunset shade which extends downward. Here are a couple quick images for reference, from our R41 with the sunshade and sunset shade, it's very similar on the R27:

Thanks Brian that is very helpful. The Sunshade will be very helpful here in Florida. I also noticed the canvas on the R27OB has a zipper around the entire peremiter. Is this to attach a canvas or mesh enclosure? If so, do you offer the enclosure for purchase or do you have a vendor you recommend. Again thanks for all your help. Love the boat.
