After 3-4 years in hot summers, the adhesive on the plastic canvas snaps (snads) can fail. Usually leaving the adhesive disk on the glass. Sometimes you can just press them back in place after cleaning up the plastic with isopropyl alcohol. Otherwise, I keep a roll of the 3m vhb adhesive tape handy. Scrape off old disk, clean and and glass with ISO, put tape on sand, trim, peel, stick, press for a few minutes, and leave for a few hours (ideally 24). The adhesive bonds best if it's not stressed or loaded for several hours.

We have a 2023 R27, and have experienced this with the black snaps, which are called SNADS. We buy replacements from Sailrite (Sailrite.com). Wonderful to deal with, BTW. Reasonably priced bags of 5.

Having SNAD ISSUES on my 2025 R-43 Phifertex window panels are falling off. Boat is only in the Water since MAY-25 ??
Reasons for SNAD failures: too much heat, too much moisture, pulling on them too hard, pulling on them from just the wrong angle, looking at them funny. This is what it says on the Sailrite website:

Please Note: SNADs are intended to be consumable items. Their adhesive may fail after a prolonged period of normal use. Additionally, they are not meant for load-bearing applications or for areas with high shear pressure; expect higher failure rates for SNADs used under improper conditions. SNADs are not covered by a warranty and will need to be repurchased to replace those that fail due to improper use or normal wear and tear.

Expect to replace them from time to time. At least they aren't expensive, compared to other boat replaceables.
