I have a new R31CB, only two weeks old. The first several nights on the boat were disturbed by the CO detectors firing off about every two hours, even though I wasn't running any combustion engine, just hooked up to shore power and running the AC. Both front and back detectors are guilty. Any suggestions?

If the units are Fireboy then the false alarms are an indication of unit failure. At one time they had a rebuild program that was reasonable but they apparently have discontinued that service. They are a bit pricey but can be found online. They are required equipment so replacing them is not optional. If you buy the same brand then you need only remove the printed circuit board and replace it in the existing unit. Lowes and Home Depot have domestic units that are less expensive but I do not know if they meet USCG requirements.
