OK, carrying is no problem, but how do us old folks get it up there?

Has anyone rigged a manual crane arrangement to accomplish that?

This on a 25 with a small West Marine dinghy.

I have a 8'-6" Bombard with inflatable floor. It weighs about 40 pounds all in. I can lift it up deflated and wrapped in the case and store it under my solar panel. I can inflate it in the cockpit and push it over the rails when done. Would I want to do this routine every day, no. When on long trips where I may need it regularly I lash it to the swim platform.

If you want to have it inflated and installed on the cabin top rails then why not tie it down up there with quick release straps that can be accessed easily from cockpit and/or side walk and then with a dinghy tether line simply slide it off into the water with a slight splash.
