CB bench jams when folded down on R29 CB

It's probably a minor fit issue but I've had problems with the bench seat on the command bridge of our R29 CB jamming when folded down. I added some pictures to the album. I solved it by putting window guards on the rail. Funny thing now is I see the set screw in the picture and wonder if top catch can be moved in sufficiently? I'll have to try that the next time I'm on the boat. Is the top bar supposed to go past the side rail?

You could try and moving them in but my worry would be that the pin then might not line up with the holes which could cause another issue. Let me know how it goes and if there still is a problem we can try and help you get it fixed.

That makes sense that the set screw lines up with a hole. I had thought that it might be a friction fit. I'm okay with the guards on the rail so we can file this under "leave well enough alone" 🙂
