Our C28 is moored in Bremerton and we're looking for great day trip ideas around the central Puget Sound. We've been up to Poulsbo a couple times and are ready to add some new destinations to the list. Today I think we're going to try and head over to Eagle Harbor on Bainbridge Island. With a bit of searching I figured out that there's transient moorage available at the City Dock. We don't have our dinghy yet so hopefully we can find a parking spot. Anyone else have favorite stops in the area?

Blake Island - a WA saltwater State Park - is wonderful. Beaches, hiking trails, resident deer, and good docking. Sometimes hard to get in. Most turnover is between 11am and 1pm. There's usually room for our boats. If you can't get in you're still a short run to Bell Harbor Marina downtown, or Eagle Harbor. Elliott Bay Marina has plenty of transient moorage and great facilities - two restaurants - as well as loaner bikes and kayaks.

They're all within about an hour of each other at hull speed. Just mind the traffic lanes.

Cheers,

Bruce
