We have a MY '09 ('08 build) R25 classic with the Cummins 150 and the impeller change takes me about 45 mins to an hour to complete. My first attempt at changing took about 2 hours as I used needle nose pliers to extract the impeller off the key way and, to say the least, it was not easy (almost one vane at a time) until it finally broke free. Installation of new one also was interesting trying to keep vanes heading in proper rotational direction. Two lessons I learned from the first change: (1) use an impeller puller which makes removal very easy and (2) use a small zip tie to hold new impeller vanes in the proper rotational direction while installing (snip it off once it starts on the keyway). Also use a non solvent based lub such as dish soap to install the new impeller. The impeller is located on the port side of engine in the area of front engine mount. I access from cockpit and to give me a little more arm room I remove the ECM ( four bolts and unplug). Not that difficult to change. To me the most difficult part is working my arms and body down to lower port side of engine as I am not quite as flexible as I once was!
