This may sound like a ridiculous post, but does anyone know if there is a secret to removing the old wiper blades and installing new ones? I feel like I am dealing with a Rubik's cube when attempting to remove/install the little plastic inserts/clips that secure the metal framing. I already broke one plastic insert, thus making the blade unfunctionable. I was successful in changing one, but cannot remember how I did it. I have three more to go and would like to get them done for our trip tomorrow. I am laughing at myself, but a bit frustrated too. Didn't know if there were any secrets to making this change! And to think I am the Captain of this vessel! ⛴

Well there's your problem. That's the bosun's job 😀

No help from this quarter. Haven't changed any blades and likely won't. I abandoned wipers for RainX. Some day plan to change them out with pantographic style but they're way down the list of intended mods 🙁

I have the same problem. I changed them once before can’t remember how I did it. How do you remove and replace?

I just replaced the wiper blades on our R29S 2020. Removing was easy as they just fell into my hands when I was washing the boat. The hard part was getting replacements to stay on. I had the Roca blades from the factory as spares. I was not able to get them to stay on after messing with them for over 2 hours. Ended up getting automotive Duralast 18" blades that just snapped in first time.

The wiper arm is a J hook and there is a plastic tab that is supposed to hold the blade in places. Supposedly just squeeze the tab and the blade slides off. There are lots of videos on replacing wiper blades, look for the J hook type.
