Hello fellow Ranger Tugs and Cutwater Owners,

As most of you know, we are not having a Chesapeake Bay Pocket Yacht Knot (CBPYK) again this year due to COVID-19. We understand that things are starting to turn around, and it looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel…we just hope it isn’t a train. However, as Delaware, Maryland and Virginia (DelMarVA) start to rescind their restrictions, we want to be able to enjoy our weekends with our fellow boaters.

Since we won’t be having an official “Rendezvous” this year, we are going to promote having “Gatherings”. These gatherings won’t be a sponsored event, so unlike our annual CBPYK with sponsored “meet and greets”, informative seminars, fun themes, catered dinners and prizes, we will rather put out a call to whoever wants to meet up for an unofficial gathering. These gatherings will promote fellowship amongst our fleet owners of Ranger Tug and Cutwater boats throughout this year’s boating season.

To start this year’s gatherings, we, along with James and Wendy Appel will be gathering at the Hyatt River Marsh Marina in Cambridge, MD, from June 18-20th. If you would like to join us, please make your reservations thru Dockwa.com.

If you have a favorite destination, and would like to share a date where other Ranger Tug/Cutwater boats can join you on the Bay, please reply to this post and post it on our Chesapeake Bay Pocket Yacht Knot Facebook page.

We are really looking forward to meeting some of our fellow Tugnuts!

Good afternoon

I just got a 2018 ranger tug 31 CB & my wife & I were hoping to raft up with fellow tug folks.

I live on the Magothy River. Let me know if you’d be interested in rafting up.

Best wishes

This post seems to have gone silent.

Who's going to be there?
I'll be there Saturday night.

Hey Lone Ranger

We tried to get down yesterday (Friday) with a reservation paid at Hyatt Marina. 5 ft SE seas turned us around south end of Kent Island. I was “trapped” on the upper helm station due to really rough seas & was getting soaked. I per her in idle to “dash downstairs” but that was a no go, waves lurched the boat & threw me to the ground. With only 10 ft beam, I had no choice but to stay topside. After being soaked, I decided it was not fun…….. I should have checked Wind Finder but “assumed” all would be well….silly me.

I hope you enjoy your stay. Perhaps we will meet up again later this summer.
Cheers!
Foster & Tracey Smith
