This year, we managed to decorate our Ranger Tug 27, Echo, and participate in the Portland Oregon 2014 Christmas Ships Parade. It was the parade's 60th anniversary - longest continuously running such parade in the US. And unlike many such events, the Portland Christmas ships sail for about two weeks. What a grand event!
Two other Ranger Tugs participated. One was a Ranger Tug 21, Joe and Nan Summers' Kennesaw Star The other was another Ranger Tug 27, Mike and Chris Braet's OdySea. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of all three of us. But I am posting one of the better partial fleet pics. This shows 7 of the 14 boats that were out that night (there are as many as 22 or more some nights).
For anyone in the Portland area, I can highly recommend participating next year. It was unlike anything else I have done boating-wise, and totally magical!!
Here's a pic that shows some of the magic! (That's our Ranger Tug on the far right).
