I had noticed my Cutwater 26 was not handling as well and running a little warmer at my cruising rpm's of 3600...

I decided to have it pulled and power wash the bottom... Only $4.00 a foot on the Northern Cheasapeake.

I have put a few pictures in my gallery.... Amazing the growth in fresh water in 4 months.

The dealer painted the bottom with one coat of Interlux Aqua...and it wasn't an ablative for my bottom because of being trailerable.

After the cleaning, I was cruising at 17.5 knots again and the engine was running 12 degrees cooler @ 3600 rpms ( sweet spot on the 220 Hp D3)... Can't wait to see the fuel savings. 😀

It was like new when we bought it this April... I'm in love again 😀

That seems like a lot after that short of time. But, what do I know? I also noticed my R27 lost about 1.5 knots and maybe an extra GPM. I'll see when I haul her out. I leave her in the water and I used the West Marine ablative paint. Usually, it's just slime and a few barnacles on the shaft and the prop. I will haul out in late October.
