Hi everyone, I just purchased a 2016 R-31 CB. The carpets need a good deep cleaning. Fuel, grease, exhaust and general wear and tear need to be cleaned. I have searched the forum but not found any advice. I have seen spot remover ideas but need help with overall cleaning techniques. Can I use grocery store rental machines? Professional carpet cleaning service? I called Ranger about buying replacements but the don’t have the template anymore. Help and thanks!

I use warm water mixed with regular Palmolive extra strength, a scrubbing brush and old cloth to rub out bad marks. It works well for me and removes salt, crab pot marking, grease, etc. I let the carpet air dry on the cockpit floor. I do vacuum the carpets about once per week or more frequently if the carpet subject to a lot of crud.

A thorough cleaning could be done with a decent carpet cleaning device. The carpet material is VERY rugged IMO.

I like the carpet primarily as it adds a lot of friction underfoot with or without shoes, looks nice what with all the 'plastic' staring at you, and avoids strong sun reflections from cockpit flooring if there were no carpeting.... as well as added engine noise abatement.

Thanks I’ll try the dish soap and brush. I am waiting for Ranger to get back to me about their recommendations as well. I am trying to avoid buying a new carpet due to cost. My carpet is from 2016 so I should be able to fix it. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your help!
