Clearing “optional maintenance required”

On our Yamaha 250 equipped RT25OB I’ve performed the necessary break in services. There is an alert that displays on the Garmin GPS when the ignition is put in the on position. If you touch the “OK” button the alert goes away until the next time. I’ve researched Garmin, the Yamaha display manual and can not find out how to clear the “optional maintenance required” alert so it does not show up again. Anyone have first hand experience with this?

Jim, you’ll reset that alarm on your Garmon MFD. if memory serves, go to the “Yamaha” chart, the choose options (or menu, if running last year’s software). There should be an alarm menu where you can reset the alarm.
