We just bought a 2016 Ranger Tug R31CB. We would like to install canvas around the cockpit area. Would love suggestions as to how this can be done with the longer hardtop style. Thanks.

Does your tug have a bimini or hardtoptop? I have a hardtop it is made of lightweight poly-carbonate and anodized aluminum and I used keder rail for mine.

Thanks tugtime51. I'll forward the info to my canvas people.

We have a 2016 R31CB. We have the extended hardtop. We also had a complete enclosure done, and ironically I just took a lot of photos of it in case someone asked.

and I will send you the photos.

I’m looking at buying an R-31CB likely with the extended hardtop. Can I ask how much this mod cost? Trying to spec out cost of boat and upgrades I’d want to make in the first few years.

Also, is the cockpit totally dry with the canvas enclosure?

Does it get warm, with the cabin door open, or would I also need to modify the diesel heat with a cockpit outlet?

We have a 31 with the hardtop. Our enclosure was done by King Marine Canvas in Seattle. It is beautiful and very well made. Talk to Josh or Dave for a quote.

Would also love to see pictures. I assume it slides into the track along the rim of the hard top.

Thanks,
Bobby

Thanks. Since I don't own the boat yet I feel weird asking for a quote. Do you remember if this was something in the order of $1-2k or something in the order of $5-8k or somewhere in between...?

Thanks!
