I’ve been look8ng between various models and I was curious what the cockpit space difference is between the 2019 Ranger 29 and the Cutwater 30. What I do know (from spec sheets) is this:
Length Overall:
Ranger 29 - 33’ 4”
Cutwater 30- 34’ 4”
I know the CW 30 has fold out seats on the gunwall. There’s pros and cons to that. I have no experience with them to say whether or not one could sit on them while cruising at 8-10 knots. They seem great at first glance but when I’m tied up against another boat it would render them useless, forcing to bring a couple camp chairs. The R29s cockpit side seats fold into the cockpit. No matter where the boat sits the seats can be used.
Other than the obvious 1’ length difference between the two models, I’m curious where the extra foot on the Cutwater is.
