Trivial question and I should know, but I don't, so here goes: Does the water for the cockpit washout hose come from the fresh water tank (my guess) or from the water I am floating in? If I were in salt water, I could taste it and tell, but I'm not. 😉 Just wondering.

The R-29 has two. The shower hose by the swim step is fresh water. The wash down hose in the cockpit is raw water.

The cockpit wash down draws water from the water your boat sits in.

Thanks, skippers. One less mystery in my life.
😉

It is A pretty simple modification to add a fresh water outlet that uses the same hose as your wash down outlet and it is pretty useful to get the salt off on the way back to port.

Are there any plans, or photo's of this modification?
Thanks,

No modification needed on my R-27/OB which has a hot/cold shower head built-into the transom.... just saying
