Cockpit Washdown

First time out this year, the cockpit wash down pump won't prime...is there a quick fix?

Pop the top to the sea strainer.
Identify the hose opening in the strainer that goes to the pump
Stick the end of the dock hose up against that hose opening with the water blasting (cooling shower when working)
It should pressurize the intake enough to blow out any air lock.
Otherwise, your pump impeller is toast.

From having just recently gone through the systems with Kenny, on our new R27 the hoses coming off the strainer are:
clear = washdown
white = head
black = engine

Make sure the little valve on the plastic fitting near the switch is open, 😀 mine was closed once 😳
and the sea strainer water intake is open.

I was at my boat yesterday and was so busy fixing a trim tab problem that I forgot to address the cockpit wash down issue. Gives me something to look forward to!

Found the problem. The clear, plastic screw on cover on the pump is cracked and damaged. Not sure how it happened...will pick up the parts and fix.
