Color changing LEDs

Just installed some LED lights in my daughter’s room. The controller comes with a remote that allows you to change colors. Pretty wide range. Went to the boat tonight and the LEDs don’t seem very different. Was wondering if the LEDs on the boat from the factory can change color, and, if so, how? If not, is there a way to add a controller to be able to do that?

Our 2021 31cb came with a remote that lets you change the colors of the v birth led lights. Give ranger tug a call all you may need to do is order a remote.

A color-changing LED is made up of three separate LEDs in one casing, with a micro-controller to operate them. The LEDs are red, green and blue. With these primary colors you can make all the colors you want by the amount of current to each. If your light fixture will accept the special LED casing, than you are able to install the color changing ones. Lots of them for sale with controller at various outlets and on line. Actually mine are red and green 🙂 I replaced all navigation and anchor lights with LEDs. They are brighter. When I did my research I learned that if you use white LEDs for the port/starboard navigation lights, the colored lens will filter out all but the red/green wavelengths respectively so they won’t be as bright.

Regarding the interior lights I was talking about the strip lights. Mine have a yellow/orange glow. Was hoping that they have a controller where I can change the color and dim them. I will call FM to find out.

Alpine, You may have to change your strip lights out with RGB LED strips to get what you want it's easy to do and the cost is minimal. I'm sure FM will point. You in the right direction.

Oh and buy the way! Your boat came with white light bulbs for the Port and Starboard running lights! But glad to hear you had a brighter idea!
