Is there like a trick to mounting the single pedestal mount, with the black ring at the base, securely?
Table always seems to fall, almost lost it overboard yesterday, which would have smashed the solar panel. Ring is left tight, right loose.

Thanks
Joe

I insert the pole in the socket and turn it to the right to lock it. Then while keeping the pole torqued to the right I turn the black ring to the left to secure it. I find that slightly wobbling the pole as I turn down the ring helps. Ours then stays securely in place, even in rough seas.

One other thought… we rotate the table slightly to slip in and out of the seats which is almost a necessity. On our installation the table socket fits somewhat loosely on the pole top so only the table itself rotates. But if that were a bit tighter fit, table rotation back and forth could loosen the pole at the bottom over time.

I remember seeing a post awhile ago on Tugnuts about a different, more secure table pole mount that someone used to replace the original. You could search for it if you are interested.

Edit: Here is a link to that thread—
