I can see I’m going to need to do something with the wood steps to the Command Bridge . Their already nasty looking. What have people done to seal them?

Mine are nice looking... but my boat is barely a month old. How long have you had your boat. Do you keep boat on a trailer, covered when on trailer, in the water year round, covered or uncovered slip ?????

I use teak oil

Keeping exterior teak looking great when it’s exposed to the elements 365 days a year was a huge challenge for me. I have no idea how the sailboat folks do it! I can’t imagine all the time they must spend on teak maintenance rather than being out on the water!
After a three year losing battle with the teak doors to my RT-25 Classic bait well, I surrendered this winter and replaced the teak with starboard. As far as the exterior of my boat is concerned, the only good teak is no teak at all!

I second the teak oil suggestion. For the product we use, we brush it on, let it sit 10 mins or so, and while still wet lightly sand with 400 wet/dry paper. Then immediately wipe off the excess and let it dry. We put on 4 coats. Looks nice and not slippery at all. Will probably put on 2 or three this year too. The reason I went through that boring process description is that I used teak oil on a drift boat and I just brushed it on without too much care. I let the oil puddle a bit before it dried. Messy mistake. Your product may vary. Good luck.
