Has anyone installed a composting toilet on an R25OB? If you’ve had any experience researching this for this specific model please share. Our R25OB is on order and I’m trying to figure out a logical way to increase fresh water capacity and the 13 gallons that the black water tank would hold would be an added bonus.....but obviously can only be done from the boats birth. Your thoughts?

Jim, check with Mike Rizzo - Illusions.

Jim - if you haven't already, search on Airhead. There a several threads and 16 pages of threads to dive into.

Cheers,

Bruce

I had a Natures Head on my Macgregor. Both Natures Head and AirHead are great products. It will probably come down to form and fit for your space.

I spoke with Jim about the Airhead and have promoted them on other threads. I am not a paid marketer for the firm. We have had the Airhead since we bought the boat and have no complaints. Nothing is perfect, but the simplicity and the elimination of all the other issues with a standard toilet make it by far a good alternative as far as I am concerned.

Jim you might consider posting your interest on C-brats. Many have converted their toilets to a compositing unit. Lots of experience in doing so there.

I looked into this for my R23 and found they do not work good in a humid climate and decided to add a larger tank instead

EdHat: Did you do make the addition yourself? How much more capacity were you able to obtain?

Jim

We had an airhead on our Cutwater 26 and it was great - no odor, easy to clean once a year. Add sugar to the urinal to minimize odor. would highly recommend! Bill
