Connect head to sea strainer

I have a 2018 Cutwater 28. I want to connect the head to the sea strainer that is currently only connected to the raw water wash down pump. Factory the head connected directly to its own sea cock with no strainer. Had some seaweed in the head issues last summer. Connecting to the sea strainer sounds like a good idea. Hard to get the plug out of the sea strainer to connect the 3/4 supply line of the head. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Step 1: wrap small rag around the plug, soak with TriFlow. Wait overnight, try wrench on plug.
Step 2: Using fine point propane torch, carefully heat pipe surrounding the plug. Heat it twice as long as you think is necessary.
Step 3: Emit strong cuss words, often helps.
