There are some useful sites which aggregate web-based information by topic. They allow you to quickly browse a wide variety of items within your topic of interest - without having to search for specific stuff. One, Alltop, subscribes to qualified sources, by topic, and displays the 5 most recent headlines for each. Another, Kosmix, allows you to create topical guides to the web and presents a "dashboard" of relevant videos, photos, news, opinion, etc.
I use both sites to get quick overviews of a range of topics of interest. Here are links to each which cover the topic of boating. Hope you find them useful. In both cases, it's quite easy to explore other topics as well.
