Convert swim platform connection to garden hose type

I want to convert my swim platform shower hose to a garden hose connector for ease of flushing the outboard motor when another freshwater source is not avaialble. I want to keep the shower functionality as well.
Any ideas out there?

They make a fitting, you can buy one at most hardware stores. 1/2 pipe to a hose fitting. Make sure you take the shower head fitting off at the correct location..

I would tap in to the cold water line and install a fresh water port that way you have the best of both a cockpit shower and a fresh water hose for maintenance. There is a picture of the one I just installed on my R-21 in my album, total cost was about $50 but that included the hose and hardware.
