Hello. I'm 3 weeks into my new to me 2010 R29 Ranger Tug. I've spent the last few weeks tracking down the various filters, and fluids needed for the boat. One item that I'm having difficulty with is what I should use for the gearbox oil. The manual calls out for Yanmar Marine Super Oil SAE 30 which I can't seem to locate. I've seen references on TugNuts that Delo 400 SAE 30 can be used. I've been told to use their ATF oil but I can only find Delo 400 Heavy Duty SAE 30 Engine oil. The manual says not to use gear oil or ATF oil in this gearbox. It also calls for a API rating of CF or better. The Delo 400 is rated CF†.
So I think the Delo 400 Heavy Duty SAE 30 Engine oil meets the gearbox specs but I'd like some feedback from other users before I proceed with using this oil.
Thank you,
-Bill
