Hello all!

We bought a one year old R25 but did not get the cover for the front windows. Does anyone know where I may obtain one?

You will definitely need one if you expect to spend the night at a marina and want any privacy.

Any good canvas/awning/tent shop can do it... Have them make one also with the see through sun screening... We did ours in white and like it...

Aye, I saw the see-through white ones at the Ranger Sunshine State Rendezvous but the owners had the original to use as a pattern. I do not so I will have to try Ranger, thanks.

King Marine Canvas made the original canvas for the Ranger Tugs. Ranger is now producing the covers. You can contact King at (206) 283-9346 we do like them and their service but Ranger does an excellent job as well.

Dothey come standard with new R 25 SC's?

They have always come standard unless they have been misplaced. If they have been misplaced, a new one would need to be made without snaps so you can match up to the existing snaps on the cabin. We can help you with whatever you need if you would like to call the office. 253-839-5213. Thank you!

Nemaste, have you looked in all the hidey holes, such as under the vee berths?
You have snaps installed for the cover and a canvas shop can make a template over them in a few minutes...

If you can't find your canvas cover, consider asking King to make you a Phifertex Plus vinyl weave front cover from their stock of patterns for Rangers. It cuts out about 80 prcnt of sunlight but still allows u to see out. No one can see in if you keep the lights off or use a dim battery lamp inside. It's a thick cushioned material so I use it instead of the canvas cover when trailering for better protection from stones and debris. BTW u can have a cushioned canvas cover made (I recall someone else did this-probably Karma) which will double as a window protector while trailering. Here's Alto (my boat) on the left with a black Phifertex front cover next to Frank and Kathy's beautiful and most tastefully decorated tug I've seen, who opted for a beige cover to match the stripe. Their boat, Ainokea, is Hero Red while Alto is (Hero) blue. I like that word "hero" as it puts the lie to any thoughts of cuteness to these heavy cruisers!

Tap or click on the picture to blow it up. BTW, we're on the St. Johns river, North of Orlando, with Hontoon State Park behind us. My journey started with an interest in renting a houseboat in Hontoon to vacation, which led to looking at little houseboats (e.g., Lil Hobo) in the Midwest, then cruisers like the C-Dory on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH, etc. over 18 months until I bought Alto in Mobile, AL and wound up back in Hontoon and now in the Keys. What a trip it's been looking at boats and places, wouldn't trade it tho!

I have those covers on my Rosborough; mine are white, m/b off white. They're nice. Didn't use them when the boat was moved from Marco Island, FL. Used card board.

I took a trip with my R21EC and used the factory window covers. They flapped and torn out a fastener from the boat. 🙁 So, I've used card board for further hauling trips. If taped down tightly, it works well. And, if one uses regular covers, one is faced with cleaning bugs from the regular covers. 😉 An especially daunting task in FL during "love bug" season. :x
