Would like to endorse one of the best items I have on board for crabbing. It's the Crack'n Crab Cleaner,
By Teal Crab co. (Tealcrab.com) easy to use and store and a great product!
Videos of it on their web site. Bob

Cool little device!

Here's another crab tip: don't bother with the huge boiling pot and propane cooker. Just heat up the BBQ, and right after cleaning toss the crab right on the grill. About 10 minutes per side and DONE! It sort of steams in the shell, and in my opinion tastes much better than traditional boiling, and certainly far less hassle and mess.

I clean the crab the same way but just hit it against the cleat at the dock then rinse the dock and cleat with a hose. Haven’t tried the BBQ but seems like it would create more of a clean up.

Well that is a novel approach. I grew up along the Chesapeake and thought I'd seen it all. But nope ... something new.
