For anyone interested I have posted a log in Ladybug, Too's Album based on data collected on our Apalachicola, Florida Seafood Festival cruise. My brother, a confirmed "RagBagger" recorded time intervals between every imaginable point between our dock and our return to our dock. The cruise was bitter sweet as I lost my wife of over 50 years to a hospital error in August of 2015. As some of you know from some of my other posts I have had a calamity or two. This cruise was almost without incident until I got excited on arrival and soft grounded in Apalach because I forgot the shallows along the approach channel. Fortunately it was soft silt and we were able to back off and get ourselves in the proper channel but not before hearing "little blue trawler you are about to run aground" I responded "too late" and was embarrassed again. The salty folks will take umbrage at my using MPH instead of knots but that's just me. The Yanmar 6BY260 performed to perfection and really liked 3200 RPM and 83% power burning less than 10 GPH. I have since made the same cruise for Veteran's Day in Apalach and we pretty much duplicated performance. We did get an ugly quartering sea from off our stern on Choctawhatchee Bay. We found that slowing down caused the bow to dig in and the stern to push to starboard so we went back to 3200 and that added enough thrust to counter the push without beating us up. The total run home was just less than 12 hours. Under other circumstances I would have stopped in Panama City both ways as it would have made for a more enjoyable cruise. Hope someone finds the log useful even if it is in "MPH"
