I am trailering my 27 down to South Florida this winter (from New Jersey) - we will start the cruise on the New River in Ft Lauderdale and taking a couple of weeks to explore the bay/west side of the keys to Key West and back. We are looking for a place to launch/store the truck/trailer on the New River. Has anyone had any experience with this? I have done Hawks Channel several times (in another boat) and would welcome any suggestions on where to stop on the Gulf side.
Thanks

I left my trailer last year at Boca Cycle in a locked yard. A bit pricy at $150.00 per month. On another occasion I kept trailer and truck at Harbourtown marina in Ft. Pierce in a gated yard both for $150.00 per month. There is a great ramp near the marina about a mile after the first boat ramp over the causeway on the right hand side.

There are a number of large boat yards up the New River you should check on for storage. As far as launching, we 've launched at the Cooley's Landing and docked their before. You could do that and then drive your rig to the storage yard only a couple of miles away.
