Hi, looking for some information, plan on spending the winter on y Cutwater 28
, which was built for east coast with Ac, has anyone added a dismal Hester to their boat, looking for suggestions etc... thank you

A boating friend installed a Webasto hydronic diesel heater on his R29S. With guidance from Webasto n RT he did this himself. He told me he installed the hydronic because it also heats his water tank vs the Webasto air 40 the factory installs which is a cabin heater only. It’s my understanding the hydronic is more expensive and complicated to install. Maybe he’ll see this post and respond. Short story is that it can and is done.

I added diesel heat to my R29 Classic .. it was not complicated but took me longer then it should as I was re measuring a lot before drilling holes in the boat .
I used a Planer unit .. they were very helpful and the unit has been flawless for the past 6 years.
Good luck we love having the diesel it’s our best heat source and works while boater homing 🙂
