Hello forum members. I took delivery of a new Cutwater 24-outboard version on Friday, May 27. Chose this boat after looking bigger for several years but decided that the design and size of this boat would work well for my wife and I and a few social visits along the way. Have not seen much, if any chatter about the 24 but I do have a question. After using the boat over the weekend we noticed a significant water leak coming from under the microwave only to the salon floor-enough to soak a beach towel. Water was draining out not spraying and stopped after cleanup. Then happened a little bit more an hour later. Any thoughts as to source? My local dealer is looking into the issue but I was curious if any forum members have seen this issue.

If you turn off the water pressure switch, does the leak stop? If so, it sounds like a loose connection on your galley sink line.

The leak happened with the water pressure switch off, but the Air Conditioner (AC) on. The leak is not constant and the only thing on at the time was the AC, sinks were not in use, so I wondered if water could pool somewhere around the microwave and then overflow and out. On the 24 the microwave is to port and the galley sink to starboard. The AC cooling water discharge is in same location as the microwave, but overboard, and the Berth sink is also to port and forward of the AC water outlet. I expect the Cutwater Team will suggest to the dealer to check these water connections. Thank you!

Hello and thank you for posting. It sounds to me like the AC unit is the culprit. When this is running it is circulating water through it but can also be from the condensation pan drain if it is not tilted right. I will ask that our warranty manager touches base with Hurst Marine to provide some troubleshooting advice and makes sure we have this solved in a timely fashion for you. Sorry you've had to deal with this.

If you need any questions answered please feel free to email me directly at the email address listed below.

Best regards,

Thank you Andrew. Hurst knows of this issue, plus a few others, and in my past boating experience have been great to deal with over any issues so they will appreciate your troubleshooting assistance.
