Hello - I’ve encountered a recent issue with my C-24 (242) where I left it on shore power but the house batteries were dead. I managed to start the boat and it seems like the motor is charging the batters but shore power isn’t. Has anyone else ran into this issue? While I have not started really investigating this yet I think it could be a problem with the ACR. Any help would be appreciated.

I had this issue on my R29s. It has a Kiase Inverter/Charger. I am not sure if your boat has the same. One time I shut off my inverter when the boat plugged into shore power- and failed to turn it back on. So I had inadvertently shut off the charger as well.
That is now on my list to check every time I leave the boat at the slip.

I hope that helps.

Hi, I have a 2018 C 24 and every time I have a house battery charging problem it’s because I accidentally turn off the switch or breaker to the charger when getting things out of the coffin. Flip the charger back on and problems solved. Just maybe you will be this lucky.

So … if anyone is interested. Turned out that the previous owner had a new charge controller installed. It was over charging the ARC and burned them out. We also had a lot of corrosion. So it was weird problem that took the awesome mechanic from Lighthouse Marine almost 2 months to figure out.
