The C26 with D3 engine location is mostly in the pilot house. I have photos in my album that show step removal going into the cave. This gives good excess to the fwd starboard section of the compartment. The pilothouse floor hatch gives good excess to fwd port section. The issue I have found with this installation is lack of ventilation to the forward section of the compartment and I have experienced above recommended compartment temperatures. C26 with D3 220hp. I have first version added ventilation in my album which proved to help but still not enough. It is still a work in progress. I will post pictures of the complete new ventilation to help other C26 D3 owners to maintain proper compartment temperatures and maintain full performance. Original installation, no ventilation, I have experienced approximately 10% power loss with elevated temperatures.
